First, minding one's own business is a virtue.

Secondly, different people have different definitions of happiness and snearing, petty and overweening articles such as this one are no doubt born out of envy of the free man by those who are stuck in marriages whose expiration date has long passed and where the only exit is through a courtroom. It is like the old joke you hear from comedians: he should be miserable like the rest of us [by getting married]. No thanks.

After breaking up a three year relationship, I have dropped out of the dating market because I want to be selfish with my time. I have a lot of different interests, a web site to tend to and I don't have to worry about pleasing anyone other then myself. And I cannot be happier.

Now maybe somewhere down the road I might want to start dating again, but then again, maybe not. My life is mine and I don't owe it to anyone else to live it a certain way in order to submit to their absurdly outsized control freak tendencies.

A conservative talking about sexism? That's a laugh! Aren't these the same types who endorse the Christian viewpoint of a woman submitting to her husband? Aren't they the same folks who endorse tens of millions in salary and golden parachutes for corporate CEOs while average workers have to struggle on stagnant wages? Conservatives talk about family values, but they just don't want to make it possible for mothers to stay at home with their children by paying wages you can actually support a family on.

Please, This is just a song and dance for these phony conservative groups to raise money with. They have no intention of changing things to actually make things more amiable for families to grow and prosper.

They are also demonizing men, too, propounding that we are too stupid to understand that men's magazines are entertainment and little more. Adultery, polygamy, domestic violence and rape came along thousands of years before Maxim.

Really, his words are just blather and nothing more.

Dear Look-at-Me Generation Women: Please Stop Cheapening the Brand

Part of being taken seriously is not making hysterical assertions such as that the current generation of women are trollops. There are women who do bare a lot of skin on My Space, et al. However,as someone who remembers the 1960's and 1970's very well because I was school age back then and subsequently spent the1980's hanging out in heavy metal clubs, girls showed a lot more skin then than they do now. You know that the bikini was not just recently introduced, right? Halter tops and hip huggers were pretty de riguer back in the 70's, and there was no shortage of tube tops, either. In the 1980's, it was spandex..

Today's young women, by comparison, and maybe it is because girls are fatter than they used to be thanks to our fast food culture, seem almost dowdy. You just about never see anyone wearing mini skirts or micro skirts which were popular in the 1960's.

I would suggest that perhaps you are jealous of the fact that the sexual environment is freer now than it was back even in the 1980's and since you are probably around my age (I'm in my 50's), you regret that you can't flaunt it like you were able to in college or in your middle 20's.

The women you talk about are a small minority. There were strippers, Playboy bunnies and Penthouse models who were members of your generation. So relax and stop being unnecessarily mean to today's women.
